Our packs are made up of 12 plants in 1-litre size pots, selected from the best of our current ranges.

We recommend perennials are planted in groups of three for impact but if you would like more of a mix you have the option.

You can also let us know any colour preferences and other adaptions you might need.

Each of the listings includes examples of plants we will be picking for that theme - handy if you want to get a few extra ideas for yourself!

If the theme you are aiming for is not listed, you might find inspiration in the Advice section of our website and the Planting Themes page: take a look and see!

Work is progressing on our new garden area!

16/4/2021

We have taken a few breaks from nursery work this week to plant up more of the beds in our new garden area!

When the ropes come down, visitors will be able to enjoy the Lavender showcase, Nepeta (catmint) showcase, Salvia showcases, Chelsea Chop demo bed, Hampton Hack demo bed, perennials for poor soils, and vigorous perennials.

Next step: turfing!

Open every day over the Easter weekend

1/4/2021

The big Easter weekend is here and we have a superb selection of flowers for spring and beyond, including lots that are Perfect for Pollinators!

We are open 10am to 4pm every day over the Easter weekend.

Make sure you make the most of April … and help the early pollinators too.

The beautiful blue blooms of easy-to-grow grape hyacinth Muscari are often a-buzz with bees, as are the heathers.

See if you can attract the early butterflies with Armeria, Erysimum shrubby wallflowers, and fragrant Dianthus Garden Pinks.

Picture
We currently have two-dozen varieties of the wonderful Garden Pinks and Scent Firsts, just starting to produce their first buds and flowers now.

Other favourites of late spring include scented bedding wallflowers, and the Dicentra, also known as Bleeding Heart, which burst up from the ground year after year.

These are selling fast so make sure you get yours. The pink flowering varieties can be grown in most conditions, but the white ones must be shaded from the midday sun, so are ideal for brightening darker corners of the garden!

Late spring flowering Alliums and Camassia have proved popular this year but we still have a number left to choose from, alongside striking Crown Imperials.

Pansies and violas are truly plants for all seasons, and we have lots of fresh batches this spring which should flower well into summer.

Our first vegetable and salad packs are in the shop now, but if you aren’t ready yet, don’t worry, there will be plenty more to come over the next couple of months.

We enjoyed glorious weather earlier this week, and it is the bright days that really highlight the areas of the garden that don’t get much of the sunshine. Help is on hand with our extensive new range of Shady Solutions! We have selected out nearly three dozen varieties of perennials that should provide colour and interest in those shaded spots, alongside over half-a-dozen ferns.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not have any summer bedding plants yet. If you would like to pre-order head to our online shop: we are not taking pre-orders any other way. You can also place orders for summer hanging baskets online too.
