Fresh from the fields, and straight into pots of compost and fertiliser at our Newbourne nursery: our new range of ornamental and fruit trees! These will be £26-£29, but buy before 31st January and pay just £20 each. Includes apples, pears, plums, fruiting cherries, flowering cherries, crabapples, rowans, birch and more. Trees establish particularly well when planted in winter when they are dormant and not putting energy into growing leaves, flowers or fruits. Give them a good drink before planting, and at least once a week during their first year (nature might help out at this time of year!). Staking can help stop the roots being rocked. Ideally fruits should be removed as soon as they appear for the first couple of years so the plant can focus on root growth.
