We're back at Suffolk Food Hall with our first weekly delivery of perennials. You'll find lots of bee friendly Alliums, colourful Erysimum wallflowers, Camassia and hardy Primulas, so the pollinators will be happy to - with lots more to come over the next few weeks.

Working with the garden owners, hospice volunteers and staff we will be providing plant stalls and plant donations throughout the season which runs until September. Details of all this year's 2026's Open Gardens are now available on the St Elizabeth website, or a printed map can be picked up from us in Newbourne.  We are donating half the value of our total sales on Saturday 20th December to Helping Hands Suffolk, a local good cause working with the homeless community in and around Ipswich.

By popular demand! Cut and pot-grown can be reserved online now, with a choice of 'non-drop' Nordmann Firs and traditional Norway Spruces, with the option of free delivery if you want it. We even have a handful of own-grown Christmas trees in the shop - grown by us since they were just a few inches tall. We have delivered our first one of the season already!
If you prefer to choose your exact tree, 'Buy the tree you see' online listings are coming late November. If you are a planner, your time is now! Gardeners get ahead in autumn, and we have lots of new lines at the nursery and online that are best planted at this time of year. Look out for trees, hedging, roses and shrubs, as well as new pots and yes, Christmas trees

We have added more hedging plants to the Clearance section of the online shop, with a handful more in the Sale area of the nursery too - bag a bargain! There is a good mix of pot-grown ornamental and fruit trees at the nursery now, including birch, rowan, cherry blossom, crab apple and some evergreens too, for year-round colour. Get them planted now and hopefully nature will do much of the watering-in for you over the crucial early months! We've marked down all the summer seasonal plants in Shophouse to just £1 each, with 50% of proceeds going to Helping Hands Suffolk, a voluntary group helping homeless and vulnerable people in Ipswich. Come and pick up easy-care Pelargoniums (Geraniums), eye-catching Sunpatiens, drought-tolerant Begonias and flowers for vases too - all just £1 a pot or pack. The sale runs for one week only - ending Friday 15th August - unless stocks run out first!  The latest installation is in place in our garden area, in time for the Big Butterfly Count, which starts Friday 18th July.
The Butterfly Friendly Garden packs in lots of perfect for pollinator plants in to a 3m x 3m space and is decorated with beautiful willow sculptures, all created by Katie's Garden's own Rose Martins. Officially designed by Norfolk's premier radio disc jockey, Alan Partridge, and more honestly by Carey Garden Design Studio, the garden will be at the show until the weekend, when it will then relocate to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve in Norfolk. We have again teamed up with Carey Garden Design Studio to grow plants for their entry to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
They are in the Small Gardens category with their design The Addleshaw Goddard: Freedom to Flourish Garden. Several members of the Katie's Garden team helped out with the planting, and others will be working as garden stewards during the week. We worked with the Careys in 2023 when their entry The Talitha Arts Garden won Gold and best in show in the All About Plants category. See a photo of the garden on the RHS's website: click here.
