Lavenders are best in full sun and well-drained soils. Bee-friendly, they keep their aromatic leaves all year-round, providing welcome structure and interest in winter cottage garden borders. They should be sheared annually to stop them getting straggly.

About the garden
The flower beds at Katie's Garden change at least once a year. Some are showcases of our favourite plants, some are for us to trial new varieties, and some are for showing off plants with purposes. Archives
