We have been very lucky to secure limited stocks of fruit trees. Plant a Tree for the Jubilee!
Field-grown in England, these will be supplied lifted from the ground and potted by us this November - please note they will not be fully rooted in their pots.
Most have a current height of approx 4-6 foot.
Many of these fruit trees have been grown on rootstocks that will limit their ultimate size to make them more suitable for modern gardens.
Pixy is 'semi dwarfing' for a mature height of 10-12ft.
St Julian A is 'semi vigorous' for a mature height of 14-18ft.
Our pear trees will have a mature height of 10-15ft.
It is likely there will be enough trees in your neighbourhood to pollinate one another, but if you are looking to plant two or more compatible varieties to increase yields:
All our Pear trees are suitable pollinator partners for one another.
All are Plum trees are self-fertile; they are also suitable pollinator partners for one another for increased yields
Self-fertile means the tree should fruit without needing a pollinator partner.
Ensure planting holes are large enough that the root balls are not crammed in. Keep plants watered for the first year, particularly during hot, dry spells in summer. Keep the area around them free of weeds, grass and other plants.
