Delightful spring-flowering tree. Beautiful large blooms make for a glorious sight in springtime.
Suitable for sun or part-shade. Will grow in most soils, including sandy, clay and loam, and does best in rich soils so will benefit from additions of manures etc. For best flowering results grow in a sheltered position away from cold winds.
Height up to 8ft-15ft. No need to prune, but damaged branches can be cut back in midsummer.
Supplied as 50-70cm tall plants in 5 litre pots.
