Overview
We are seeking keen and knowledgeable plant-lovers to join our team. You will be involved in plant production and care, as well as helping our customers make the best choices for their gardens. Proficiency in English is essential.

Duties

• Dealing with customers, in-person or by phone
• Advising on plant choices and signposting other advice
• Stocking & tidying the retail area
• General nursery duties including potting, watering, weeding
• Assisting the delivery team with order preparation and dispatch
  

Required:

• Good garden plant knowledge from either professional experience or home gardening
• A genuine passion for gardening and an understanding of plant care practices.
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• A love of being outdoors in all weathers
• You will need to be able to lift bags of compost, wheel a loaded trolley, and load up a van
• Flexibility to work on varied tasks either alone or in a team
• Attention to detail in the simplest tasks
• Kind and supportive to other staff

Preferred:

• Driving licence (no more than 3 points) / van driving experience
• Retail experience / horticultural experience
• Basic computer skills

This is a temporary seasonal position for up to 6 months initially. We can consider applications for between 2-5 days, but will prioritise those who can work Saturdays and/or Sundays. Our normal working day is 9-5 with some flexibility.
