Take a tour!

27/5/2026

Take a tour of our award-winning 2026 Suffolk Show display.

Using plants from our nursery and created by a team of Katie's Garden staff, it showcases combinations of perennials, shrubs and annuals in cottage garden-style  borders and baskets,

We hope it offers  planting  inspiration for shady spots,  white, cool and hot colour schemes!

... and there's more:  Best in Show!

We are delighted to have been awarded  Large Gold for our display of cottage garden borders and baskets at the 2026 Suffolk Show.

Congratulations to all in  our entire team who have  sown, grown, watered, potted on, picked,  cleaned, designed and transported all the plants for the Show, alongside all our regular nursery activities.

Everyone in #TeamKG has helped along the way to this fantastic result!

We are also very grateful to all our customers for their support - without our customers throughout the year there would be  no Katie's Garden nor  special days like this!

You'll find our display in the Flower and Garden zone at the Suffolk Show for 27th & 28th May  - please do pop along to see it and say hello!

Blooming at the Suffolk Show

27/5/2026

Our colourful display is all set up in the Flower and Garden zone at the Suffolk Show and we're looking forward to the next two days! Several members of the Katie's Garden team will be taking turns as Stewards at our display and plant stall - other colleagues are still working hard back at the nursery which is still open - with plenty of plants to water!

Our display features a wide variety of plants we grow, presented this year in border-like settings to showcase perennials and shrubs ideal for different popular scenarios such as  a shady spot, or an all-whites look.  Plus of course stunning samples of our popular  annuals in patio pots and of course our famous hanging baskets!

If you're at the Suffolk Show please do come and say hello, We'd love to see your photos too Facebook: @katiesgardenplantcentre; Insta: @katiesgardenplants

We're off to the Show

26/5/2026

This afternoon Gill set off for the Suffolk Show with the final van loaded with plants and displays for our exhibit and stall in the Flower and Garden zone. Good luck!

Sizzling Suffolk Show setup

25/5/2026

The extreme heat didn't stop the Katie's Garden team from making the final preparations for our striking exhibit for the Suffolk Show in the Flower and Garden zone.

After final selection and cleaning at the nursery the displays are carefully transported to the showground, fortunately not too far away, where the whole look comes together.

If you're visiting the Suffolk Show this year, 27th & 28th May, be sure to come and say hello !

World Bee Day buzz!

20/5/2026

Katie's Garden features on ITV Anglia News for World Bee Day. At the nursery today,   Woodbridge Mayor Nigel Phipps presented Bee Cafe founder Paul Martin with an award from the Bee Friendly Trust in recognition of all his and the Bee Cafe volunteers' work. Congratulations!

East Suffolk Councillors Ruth Leach and Stephen Molyneux also attended to mark the launch of a new 'pollinator pitstop' scheme supported by local councils, continuing the work to build a bee and wildlife friendly corridor in gardens and verges Ipswich-Woodbridge-Sutton.

And they're off!

We've just waved off the last batch of plants grown for RHS Chelsea 2026.

An after-hours working party saw a wide selection of 'edibles' carefully trolleyed up.

Over the last few months we've sown and grown a selection of herbs and vegetables with a 'maritime' theme  for the
Rhino Greenhouses' trade stand designed by Rea Hill and Rose Hill Luxury Designs

From our glasshouse to theirs!

Last week we despatched plants grown for the Addelshaw Goddard Flourish in the City Garden, designed by Carey Garden Design Studio.  We're also proud that our plants have been selected by Woodbridge-based botanical artist Brie Harrison for her trade stand at RHS Chelsea.

Social summer basket workshops

12/5/2026

It's always a pleasure to welcome small groups to the nursery on mid-May evenings for summer basket planting workshops.  Following demonstrations and sharing of our top insider tips for success,  it's then fascinating to see the individual baskets take shape as everyone gets hands on to create their own baskets or pots to take home.   This week was no exception!

Limited edition exclusives

11/5/2026

We are now able to start releasing a limited quantity of excess plants grown for Chelsea: special varieties of sweet pea, camassia and iris.

To ensure a good selection of top-notch plants for Chelsea we always grow more than required; and sometimes also nurture a couple of varieties in order to increase the likelihood of having sufficient in flower at just the right moment!

Those that flower too soon, or too late, or are surplus to requirements make their way into our nursery shop for customers to enjoy a bit of Chelsea stardust in their own Suffolk gardens:  a win win!
